At Eurovision 2022, the incredible fervor in the press area

EUROVISION – Ukraine and the group Kalush Orchestra won the 2022 edition of Eurovision, ahead of the UK and Spain. But in Turin, the result seemed to matter little in the press area, where journalists from all over Europe came together during the competition, transforming the room into a dance floor, as you can see in our video at the top of the article.

Each nationality naturally supported its candidate, like the French journalists who supported the Bretons Alvan and Ahez. But journalists got together to dance over the more festive titles like the Trenulețul title, by Moldovan candidates Zdob și Zdub & Advahov Brothers, which was accompanied by a giant caterpillar. The journalists also began to applaud the title of the Serbian candidate, Konstrakta, In Corpore Sano.

This festive atmosphere in the press room is not new to Eurovision, as the following video demonstrates during Eurovision 2017, in which Portugal won with the talented Salvador Sobral.

First to salute the victory of Ukraine, its president Volodymyr Zelensky declared to be “sure that our victorious choir in the battle against the enemy is not far away”, promising to organize “one day” Eurovision in a “free, peaceful and reconstructed” Mariupol, referring to this city of martyrdom where the last ukrainian. the fighters are entrenched in the Azovstal steelworks.
